Jewish tradition emphasizes the sacred work of burying and caring for those who are laid to rest. The volunteers on the Board of the Association and others oversee the operation and maintenance of the cemetery. Landscaping, roads, gates and plantings are maintained to preserve the beauty and dignity of the cemetery on State Street.
Cemetery operations are funded by contributions from people like you, friends and family of the loved ones who are buried at Raleigh Hebrew Cemetery.
Support of the Raleigh Hebrew Cemetery Association ensures that we can honor, embrace and celebrate everyone in our community today and in the future. Your donations enable us to care for this sacred place and the burial sites of those who established our strong Jewish community beginning in the 1800’s, support the needs of the families in our community today, and plan for our growing community’s needs tomorrow.
Legacy gifts are very important for the future sustenance of the Raleigh Hebrew Cemetery Association. After providing for loved ones, it is possible to guarantee the perpetuity of the Cemetery through financial and estate planning. If you would like to discuss making a donation, please contact our Board at 919-670-0400 to discuss giving opportunities.
The Raleigh Hebrew Cemetery Association, Inc., is a non-profit, 501c (13) corporation. Donations to the cemetery are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
